Terminal PLZEN - Nyrany (CZ)

This terminal and depot for empty containers opened in November 2007, is just on approach road to the E50/D5 motorway (Exit No 93) and rail connection between Prague – Regensburg, Nuremberg.
Western Bohemia has been becoming a logistics center of Central Europe with relevant distibution of cargo within the Czech Republic, Germany and Austria. In the nearest vicinity, American, British, Dutch and French property developers have constructed warehouses in total area of 3,000,000 sqm.
Besides receivers of import consignment are in the surrendings also significant volumes of export. Thanks to mutual ballance of import/export cargo, METRANS has achieved a year-on-year increase of 180% in the period of January – May 2008/2009.
