SNOW CALAMITY

Dear customers, We would like to inform you about further development of critical conditions in northern Germany. Ban on dispatching trains to seaport Bremerhaven was recalled and this connection then operates again, regretfully the large number of trains stopped on their way to Bremerhaven complicates keeping the handling slots considerably. The situation got worse in Hamburg where the shunting station in Maschen was affected with a fallout; this fallout is of no direct influence on METRANS block trains calling seaport terminals directly, however it brings irregularities to the whole operation of seaport railway and because of it delays to dispatching of all trains. Thus there's still and further as well needed to count with problems and delays on METRANS connections to northern Germany. more

SNOW CALAMITY

Dear customers, The snow calamity in Germany leads the railway operation almost to collapse. Reported problems have become further acute, important part of block trains has been stopped on their way and it's problematical for the railways to perform their delivery to final station. The worst situation is in export direction from the Czech Republic to Bremerhaven, however all connections within the region of Germany are involved and affected. Due to stopped block trains and fully broken schedule of garniture circulation, lack of railcars for further keeping the operation starts to show as well. more
